Grove has a passion for shooting unique portraits of unique individuals, and is inspired by the likes of Irving Penn, Annie Leibovitz, and Albert Watson. Living and working in Hollywood, Pashley has conceptualized, art directed and shot well over 100 celebrity portraits of personalities including Jeff Goldblum, Jeff Daniels, Edward James Olmos, Michael C. Hall, Liam Neeson, Patrick Swayze, James Woods, and many more. These dynamic portraits can be seen at grovepashley.com. Typically, Grove is given full creative freedom to interpret the celebrity images he creates, and often does so under the chaotic deadlines involved in working with celebrities and public personalities. In addition to his portrait work, Grove continues to produce other images and creative work for the entertainment industry as well as stock and travel photography for Getty Images.
www.grovepashley.com | Grove Pashley was born in Tucson, Arizona, and grew up in Utah, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Fine Arts. He moved to Los Angeles in 1987 and assisted over 100 advertising photographers before setting out on his own in 1992. Since then, he has created countless entertainment campaigns for ABC, Columbia Pictures, Disney, HBO, Miramax, MGM, Fox, Paramount, Sony, and Warner Brothers. In recent years, Grove has been extensively documenting his travels to Asia with his wife, and plans to take his camera and his unique vision to many more countries.
He has been using LaCie hard drives for at least eight years. His main concern with any external hard drive has always been durability and dependability and to this day, his LaCie drives have never failed him. On a recent month-long trip to Asia, where he was shooting stock and travel photos for Getty Images, Grove took the LaCie Rugged Hard Disk with him. It was as fast, rugged, and dependable as advertised. The Rugged allowed fast downloads, which quickly freed up space on flash cards. Grove was confident that when he returned to Hollywood, all of his valuable images would be intact and safe. In the studio Grove keeps a 2big Quadra drive next to his workstation for quick and easy downloads and storage. Because of the durability and dependability alone, he will continue to use them. |
